    By the way I forgot to mention I can browse shares on 2 windows 7 machines but not a server 2003 or xp pro machines

    Hi David, Yes I did a migration and I did select this is not the last server in the domain. I've spent 2 days trying to fugure things out without results. I wonder if I should scrub the server and redo What do you suggest?

    Hi everyone well finally I did it the migration went fairly well but now I am left with a problem which I have been unable to solve. When I finally disconnected the 2003 from the domain by dcpromo I am stuck with a network of computers which can no longer connect to domain computers shares also I am unable to connect a scanner using SMB.
