We have just moved over to SBS, and as part of this we have sharepoint. We already have existing project folders, which contain docs, software etc, is it possible to overlay sharepoint over these folders so sharepoint gives us nice 'fluffy' remote access to them? if it is possible, then how do I do this? (sorry if this is a 'how do I build the space shuttle in two brief sentances')

We have quotation files, plus various other docs which it would be really nice to have access to, but it does seem somewhat time consuming to have to sit and upload each one.

If this is really obvious, what is the best resource for support on sharepoint?

Thanks

I have set up Sharepoint services 3 and all is ok. I am looking into the possibiltiy of users being able to access the Sharepoint site via the Internet. I can get the pages to display OK, but as soon as we try to access files the site stops responding. I am sure its because it is looking for the files on our sharepoint server hence the link is a local machine that remote users can't see.. Is there anyway to achive full internet access to a locally hosted Sharepiont site?

Thanks a million in advance

We have a new install of SBS on a Dell server. We would like to try and use some of the sharepoint templates available to download from the Microsoft website, but I am having problems:

1) the stsadm command on my server does not have any of the parameters (addsolution, deploysolution etc) that are shown as part of the install, is this because either the templates are for an older version or I have an older version??

2) how do I find out what version I am running? (as I say, the server is only a week old, so it should be the latest, but how do I check)

Thanks

How do I use Frontpage to customise WSS for my clients? How do I integrate lists (and preferably data from CRM) into linked lists so that whne one item changes any linked lists also change?

What is un-ghosting? Why should I try to avoid it and how can I avoid creating unghosted pages when I customise a page with Frontpage?

How do I backup the WSS sites on an SBS2003 box? I have a lot of custom data held in a WSS site on my server. How do I ensure I can restore that data when I am using a) WMSDE b) SQL Server?
